CORNELL CONCERT SERIES RECOMMENDS
ARTS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH soprano KAREN SLACK
An evening of music and discussion, presented by babson college

Ms. Slack will share performances, as well as insights from her experience as a leading Black artist. She will perform works by two underrepresented composers — Robert Nathaniel Dett and Undine Smith Moore — whose beautiful compositions have been too often overlooked. Both were particularly inspired by the tradition of the African-American spiritual.
Ms. Slack’s exceptional musical talent is complemented by the skills and mindset of an entrepreneurial leader. Her performance will be interspersed with discussion about the importance of making sure that all musical voices are included and heard, as well as the significance that entrepreneurial thinking has in the life of artists. The program will conclude with a live Q and A, and attendees are invited to share their questions with Ms. Slack.
