A classical tabla maestro of the first order, Zakir Hussain has made unprecedented strides in bringing his instrument to a global audience. Masters of Percussion offers the audience an opportunity to experience both melodic and rhythmic exploration, and will feature traditional repertoire from both Hindustani and Carnatic classical traditions, as well as excursions into the frontier between traditional and contemporary, folk and classical.
