Jason Moran and Dave Holland

This special Evening at Barnes Hall concert is SOLD OUT.

You may try your luck at the door for the resale of turn-back tickets, but we cannot guarantee that there will be many or any.

Jason Moran, the multi-award winning jazz pianist, MacArthur fellow, and now Artistic Advisor for Jazz at the Kennedy Center in D.C., returns to Cornell with an extraordinarily special “surprise” guest artist: celebrated bassist Dave Holland. A master of tone and rhythm, Dave Holland is now in his fifth decade as a performer and his music possesses a rich and kaleidoscopic history. In recent seasons, Jason Moran and Dave Holland work together regularly as members of the Overtone Quartet – along with saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Eric Harland – and both also serve as artists-in-residence at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  This Ithaca appearance, however, marks a very rare public performance as a simple duo.
