Jennifer Koh arrived on Saturday to give a violin master class before the Sunday afternoon concert with students from the Cornell orchestras in Lincoln Hall.
Following Sunday’s concert, Vijay Iyer held a master class in Barnes Hall. Three jazz combos had the opportunity to play and receive critique.
Monday, Koh spent the morning at Boynton Middle School and Ithaca High School with orchestra students, where she workshopped techniques and gave a small performance.
Iyer spent the afternoon at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center to speak about improvisation and create an impromptu song collaboratively.
Monday evening, Koh led a Music and Meditation session for Cornell students and faculty at the Tatkon Center in Balch Hall. She spoke about mindfulness and accompanied the meditation.
