“The standout vibraphonist of his generation.” – The New Yorker

Heralded as “one of the most important young artists in jazz” (Los Angeles Times), Stefon Harris plays with astonishing virtuosity that has propelled him to the forefront of the jazz scene. In addition to serving as Associate Dean and Director of Jazz Arts at Manhattan School of Music, Harris has earned four GRAMMY nominations and numerous accolades: chosen Best Mallet Player seven times by the Jazz Journalist Association and Best Vibes in the 2018 and 2017 DownBeat Magazine Critic’s Poll, among others. In addition to his trademark vibes, Harris comes to Ithaca with his longtime band and collaborators, Blackout.  “His music needs no labels like ‘postmodern’ or ‘cutting edge.’ It is Stefon Harris music” (Jazz Times).
