TAFELMUSIK
Friday | March 8, 2024 | 7:30 pm
ADULT $34 | 34 | 44 STUDENT $19

For over forty years, Tafelmusik has brought new energy to Baroque music and repertoires in its wake. In their programs and recordings, historically-informed performances of seventeenth- to nineteenth-century instrumental and choral music share the stage with vibrant, innovative multimedia and bold new music written just for the group. Each piece is played on period instruments and illuminated by scholarship, showing a “depth of insight in historical performance, diversity in repertoire, and skill in execution [that] knows no bounds” (Toronto Concert Reviews). At Bailey Hall, Tafelmusik will perform works from Johann Friedrich Fasch, Pietro Antonio Locatelli, Vivaldi, Marin Marais, Telemann, and J.S. Bach.
“We are fortunate to have ensembles such as Tafelmusik… consistently delivering delightful and excellent interpretations. It is rare to hear a live performance that is virtually flawless from beginning to end, but that is what we [are] treated to.” – The Wholenote
